REFORMER CLASSES
AUTHENTIC PILATES IN CLITHEROE
The Pilates Reformer is at the heart of our studio, offering a unique and powerful way to strengthen, stretch, and transform your body.
Our Pilates Reformer sessions are guided by well-trained teachers who understand the importance of teaching Pilates properly. Our team is committed to delivering an authentic Pilates experience, rooted in knowledge and passion for the practice.
Our small group Reformer classes offer a balanced and comprehensive workout in a supportive, focused environment. Designed for those who are fit and healthy, these sessions use the Reformer to strengthen, stretch, and stabilise the body, promoting overall wellbeing through mindful movement.
The Reformer is a versatile piece of Pilates equipment that challenges your core, enhances flexibility, and improves balance.
These general group classes provide a well-rounded workout that encourages participants to move with control and awareness, fostering physical strength and mental clarity.
While the class is not individually tailored, modifications are offered to ensure everyone can participate at their own level. With a small group size, you’ll enjoy a welcoming space where you can focus on building a strong, flexible body, free from the distractions of larger classes.
We take the time to ensure every client is confident and comfortable using the Reformer, helping you to move with intention and develop a deeper understanding of your body. Our spacious and inviting studio is the perfect place to build strength, flexibility, and a more balanced body—all while enjoying the many benefits of Pilates. From improving posture to building core stability, each Reformer session is crafted to support you in your journey towards a healthier, more aligned you.

“Before Pilates I frequently struggled with back pain and was acutely aware that I was losing flexibility as I got older. Since joining Kate's sessions my back pain has significantly reduced and I feel stronger and more flexible. The sessions are always varied to keep interest and engagement high. Kate is patient, attentive and encouraging. The sessions are a highlight in a busy working week and I always feel better physically and mentally after a session.”

Meet our Reformer teachers
Louise Faulkner
In her late teenage years, Louise discovered all kinds of back pain which highlighted a curvature of the spine. It wasn’t until she was in her thirties that she discovered Pilates.
She found that regular Pilates practice was the answer to all her back aches and pains. Practicing the method gave her the release she needed and allowed her to continue pursuing all the activities she loved.
After noticing really beneficial changes to both mind and body, Louise took an opportunity to retrain and change career so she could share the benefits with others.
Louise has been teaching Matwork since 2016 and in 2019 trained and qualified to teach Reformer. Louise teaches group reformer classes and semi private studio sessions at the Pilates Hub.
Catherine Beresford
Pilates has been a part of Catherine's life for the last 17 years. She started to attend mat classes to help improve her core strength and quickly become hooked!
She had a physically demanding job as a Veterinary Nurse which required her to be on her feet all day, lifting and carrying patients and gradually the niggly back disappeared, the stiffness in joints eased and she felt much stronger overall.
In July 2018 she gained her Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Pilates with Modern Pilates UK. Over the following 12 month she gradually added more classes and then in September 2019 she made the huge decision to change careers completely and become a self-employed Pilates Teacher
In November 2022 Catherine completed her Reformer training and now teaches evening Reformer classes at the Pilates Hub in Clitheroe.
Kate Pollitt
Kate didn’t start out as a Pilates Teacher. She started out as someone who needed Pilates. After years of being active, injuries began to creep in, and she turned to Joanne and Pilates for help.
It was a game-changer - helping her rehabilitate and become stronger and more connected to her body than ever.
Kate’s passion for Pilates grew so much that she decided to share it with others, training with the YMCA in Mat Pilates, and she continues to develop her knowledge with invaluable mentorship from Joanne.
Kate’s classes meet you where you are. She’ll guide you through your own Pilates journey, from complete beginner to mastering the fundamentals and rediscovering your body’s potential
More lovely words from our clients...
Before I joined Kate’s Pilates Class I had very little experience in Pilates and didn’t know or appreciate how much it would help me with both my physical and mental health. It’s a complete change from the cardio and strength training I’d done before but with Kate’s help she’s made me understand that small, concentrated movements can really help with my strength and flexibility. The class is good fun and very relaxed too.
Nicci, Clitheroe
Catherine has a friendly and professional teaching method and she ensures that I do the various exercises to the best of my ability. The classes are always different which keeps it fun and challenging and the time flies by. I am feeling healthier and stronger and would recommend the class to everyone
Jo, Grindleton
Louise is an experienced and intuitive teacher, providing a very safe and supportive space in her sessions. They are transformative for both body and mind. I recommend it for injury recovery and rebalancing the whole body. Delighted to be pain free and back climbing mountains!
