Nicci's story
I’ve been attending Joanne’s classes for 12 months now and love being part of the Pilates Hub.
I decided to give Pilates a go after many years of gym classes including HIIT, Pump and Combat, I jog and enjoy strength training regularly too however since turning 50 and going through menopause my joints, particularly knees and hips, were very painful and stiff. I wanted to exercise and retain my fitness without being in pain in every class and sometimes for days after…
I started with Joanne’s Beginners Reformer Pilates class and loved it from the start. Joanne is a great teacher and put me at ease immediately, explaining everything clearly and with patience. 12 months on and I’m still loving the classes and cannot believe the progress that I’ve made and how my confidence in using the reformer has built, enabling me to complete more challenging exercises.
I also attend Joanne’s monthly Pilates Circuit classes which allow you to challenge yourself at your own pace using all the different Pilates apparatus and techniques followed by an amazing session of stretching and meditation.

Kuldeep's Story
I’ve been going to Joanne’s Reformer classes now for about five years and I can honestly say that I don’t think I’ve ever felt stronger.
Reformer has always been something I had wanted to try after a friend recommended it, but I wanted to go to Joanne‘s classes as she had such a good reputation. As a teacher, her name kept cropping up. So when she moved her classes to Whalley (now Clitheroe), it was an omen!
I like the fact that the classes are small and intimate, and because of this, there is a lot of personal attention – Joanne notices everything and will definitely mention when form isn’t quite right!
I have gone from very active fast-paced gym classes to Reformer and Mat Pilates. It is definitely gentler on the body, yet you can make it as challenging as you wish. I feel my body has become stronger and definitely more toned as a direct result of Pilates.
I would thoroughly recommend these classes and I would even go so far as saying just how much I enjoy them, and look forward to going each week! Joanne, as a teacher is super knowledgeable, and you feel that you’re in a safe and fun environment-and you are getting fit at the same time-result! ‘
